Helen P. Healy Devoted Mother of six of Cambridge/Billerica LOWELL—Helen P. (Callahan) Healy, 96, of Bedford, formerly of Billerica, passed away peacefully at the Carlton Willard - Ross Worthen Nursing Home. The tender care of these employees gave her life with dignity. She was the beloved wife of Robert W. Healy, Sr. who died in 1993, to whom she was married for 50 years. Helen was born in Cambridge on December 21, 1918, a daughter of the late Joseph and Gertrude (Williams) Callahan. She attended Cambridge Schools and was a graduate of Cambridge High and Latin. Mrs. Healy’s remained at home and exceeded in her duties as a wife and a mother to her six children. She was an active member of St. Theresa’s Church in Billerica, and the “Morning Glories”. Helen retired to Summer Place in Chelmsford where she enjoyed many new and old friends. Helen loved her leisure time at the beach, shopping, golfing, and playing cards. Lunch at the Ashworth in Hampton, NH was one of her favorite places to enjoy. Helen is survived by her six children and their families; sons Robert W. Healy, Jr. and his wife Jacquelyn (O’Connor) of Lowell, and David Healy and his wife Linda (Gray) of Calais, VT; daughters Joanne Supple of Rye, NH, Paula McCabe and her husband Frank of Lowell, Lillian Martin and her husband F. Bradford of Chelmsford, and Susan Plunkett and her husband Stephen of Middletown, RI; her grandchildren, Robert Healy and Kevin Healy of Melrose, Frank McCabe, Jr. of N. Andover, Courtney (McCabe) Davidopoulos of Westford, F. Bradford Martin, Jr. of Chelmsford, Adam Martin of No. Haven, CT, Devin Healy of Helena, MT, Bryce Healy of Burlington, VT, Katherine Supple of Rye, NH, and Kate Plunkett of Middletown, RI. Mrs. Healy is also survived by 16 great grandchildren who enjoyed her because of great family get-togethers, especially “Christmas Eve” at the McCabe’s. She also leaves her brother-in-law, Cornelius “Fran” Healy of Stoneham, and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Healy was the mother-in-law of the late John Supple and sister of the late Lillian M. Callahan, George C. Callahan, John C. Callahan, Gertrude Lefebvre, and Grace Foley. FUNERAL NOTICE HEALY—In Bedford, April 8, 2015 at Carlton Willard Nursing Home, Helen P. (Callahan) Healy, 96, the beloved wife of the late Robert W. Healy, Sr. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her FUNERAL MASS on FRIDAY MORNING at 9 o’clock at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH (Lower Church), 144 East Merrimack St. Lowell.
