Mr. Roland H. Giguere

Roland H. Giguere Beloved Father and Grandfather LOWELL—Roland H. Giguere, 85, passed away on Thursday evening, February 4, 2016, at the Palm Center in Chelmsford after a period of declining health. He was the husband for 63 years of Lucille M. (Christman) Giguere, who passed away in 2013. Roland was born in Canada on April 18, 1930, a son of the late Wilfred and Florence (Bergeron) Giguere. He was raised in Dracut and educated in the Lowell School System. For many years, Mr. Giguere worked at Casual Footwear. He retired from Cambridge tool, where he worked as a machinist. Mr. Giguere was a parishioner of the former Sacred Heart Church, now Holy Family Parish. Roland enjoyed playing cards, horseshoes, bowling, fishing with his brothers at Plum Island, and most of all vacationing with his wife Lucille. Roland is survived by his three children, Jackie Burns and her husband Bob of Lowell, Gerald Giguere of Greenfield, NH, and Roland Giguere also of Greenfield, NH; three grandchildren, Robert Burns of Menden, MA, Robin Lajoie of Hampstead, NH, and Amie Francoeur of Amherst, NH; four great grandchildren, Nicholas and Matthew Burns of Nashua, NH, and Ethan and Hannah Lajoie of Hampstead, NH; his sisters-in-law, Margaret Giguere of Tyngsborough, and Lorraine Fauvel of Dracut; his brothers-in-law, Renee and his wife Dolores Christman of Lowell, and Raymond and his wife Alice Christman of Lowell; also many nieces and nephews. Mr. Giguere was the brother of the late Lester Giguere, Thomas X. Giguere, and Ronald Giguere. FUNERAL NOTICE GIGUERE—in Chelmsford, February 4, 2016, at the Palm Center, Roland H. Giguere, 85, beloved husband of the late Lucille M. (Christman) Giguere. Family and friends may call at the FAY McCABE FUNERAL HOME, 105 MOORE STREET, LOWELL on SUNDAY from 3 until 6 PM. Mr. Giguere’s Funeral will begin on MONDAY MORNING at 9 o’clock from the Funeral Home, followed by his FUNERAL MASS at 10 o’clock at HOLY FAMILY PARISH – ST.
