Mary T. Perkins Loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother LOWELL—Mary Theresa (Quealy) Perkins, age 90, passed away peacefully at her home on May 31, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Frederick W. Perkins who died in 2002. Mary was born in Lowell on October 6, 1924, the only daughter of John and Margaret (O’Malley) Quealy. She was educated in the Sacred Heart Grammar School, Lowell High School, and the Bradshaw Business School in Lowell. Following graduation, Mary worked for a Boston Insurance Co. Later on, she was employed as a meat wrapper at Star Market. Mary lived in the Grove all of her life. She married Frederick W. Perkins in the Sacred Heart Church on November 22, 1947, and celebrated 54 years of marriage. Mary was a loving grandmother who took care of all of her grandchildren. She loved spending time with her great grandchildren and would attend all of their sporting events, plays, and recitals. Mary was an avid gardener and took great joy in her time working in the yard. Mary also loved Cape Cod and looked forward to her vacation there every year. Just recently, Mary had been a member of the Chelmsford Senior Center. Surviving Mary are her daughter Maureen Sabiski and her husband Alan of Nashua, and Paula Iacono of Chelmsford. Mary was her daughter Paula’s best friend. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Melissa Ducharme and her husband David of Tyngsborough, Sara Iacono of Chelmsford, and Timothy Iacono and his wife Darlene of Lowell; four great grandchildren, Kya Iacono, Emma Ducharme, Neve Ducharme, and Jackson Ducharme. Mary also leaves several dear cousins. Mary was the sister of the late John W. Quealy who died in 2012. FUNERAL NOTICE PERKINS—In Chelmsford, May 31, 2015, Mary T. (Quealy) Perkins, 90, wife of the late Frederick W. Perkins. Family and friends are invited to attend her FUNERAL on THURSDAY June 4, 2015 at 8 AM from the FAY McCABE FUNERAL HOME, 105 MOORE ST. LOWELL, followed by her FUNERAL MASS at 9 AM at ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST CHURCH, 115 Middlesex St. N. Chelmsford. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
