Mrs. Marie A. Geary

Marie A. Geary Marie Geary, 92, of Nashua NH, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2023. In her final days, she was surrounded by her loving family. Marie was born in Graniteville, MA to the late Charles and Mary Rioux. She was predeceased by her loving husband Eugene Robert Geary (Gene) and grandson Aram John Dulgarian. Following Gene’s passing, Marie went on to complete the task of nurturing their children, leading by example and illustrating to them with grace, faith, strength, and love the importance of family. Marie loved sports, tennis, skiing, golf, and any activity that allowed her to be outdoors. Always up for a trip, Marie had many adventures with family and friends and enjoyed long lasting friendships and travel with her close circle of friends, referred to lovingly by her children as the “Posse.” Never a dull moment raising her family or traveling, Marie also gave her time generously as a volunteer to many charitable endeavors, in particular two of her favorites, the March of Dimes and Habitat for Humanity. Marie leaves her loving children, Suzanne Rossini (Angelo Mannino), Thomas (Tom) Geary (Charlene), Christine Geary (Geoff Elia) Jacqui Dulgarian (Mitch O’Meara), Michael Geary (Leah), Maria Carpino (Rob), Edward (Ted) Geary (Karen), and Eugene (Gino) Geary, Jr. (Maureen Walsh), and grandchildren, who provided her with great joy and amusement, Noah Lethbridge and Laura Rossini, Matthew Geary (Catie) and Josh Geary, Mikaela, Alex, and Nicholas Elia, Brynn and Reese Geary, Andrew, Owen, and Christian (Meg) Carpino, Kathleen (Kit) and Aidan Geary, and Seamus Geary. Also surviving Marie are her eight great grandchildren (Otto, Malcom, Desi, Charlie, Ben, Michael, Kosta, and Brooke). Marie is also survived by her brother-in-law, William C. Geary, brother-in-law, Francis Ralls, sister-in-law Marie (Geary) Donovan and her husband George. She was much loved and is survived by many nieces and nephews. Marie was predeceased by her siblings, sisters Patricia Ralls, Charlotte Perocchi, Lorraine Petullo, and Rita Geladeras, brother Eugene Rioux, who died serving in the US Navy during WWII, and in-laws, Dick and Kathleen (Geary) Morris, Paul Geary, Ann Geary, and Nancy Geary. Marie’s funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 3, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, 282 Suffolk Street, Lowell, MA. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury, MA.
