Lorraine Yvonne Boudreau - Memere April 7, 1948 - September 1, 2023 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lorraine Yvonne Boudreau, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She peacefully passed while sleeping in the comfort of her home on September 1, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories. Lorraine was born on April 7, 1948, in Lowell, Massachusetts, to her parents Alfred Langlois and Lena Langlois (Boisvert). Her early years were marked by extraordinary resilience as she survived childhood polio. She grew up at the Franco-American School/Orphanage, facing significant challenges in her education, and remained illiterate throughout her life. Despite these tremendous obstacles, Lorraine was known for her unwavering happiness, and kindness to all, unless they were, as she put it, "an a**hole." She had no tolerance for a**holes. Lorraine's life was characterized by her unwavering dedication to her family. She was a loving mother to her children. Lorraine was predeceased by her daughter Tracy Boudreau. She is survived by her daughter Lorrie Jonas and her children Aiden Jonas, Kerry Ann Jonas and Ian Jonas; her son Ernest Boudreau; her daughter Maria Boudreau and her children Sebastian Nash, Kira Nash, and Autumn Nash; She was also loved by Julia Gironi Rayball and Judy Nash Barnum as if they were her own daughters. Her love extended to Janelia Chappell, William Higson (her Billy Boy), Joshua Higson, all the Nash family grandchildren whom she cherished. She was also predeceased by her brother Arthur Langlois and his wife Irene, predeceased by brother Alfred Langlois and his wife Elaine, predeceased by brother Albert Langlois and is survived by his wife Louise Langlios, predeceased by brother Ernest Langlois and his wife Judy, predeceased brother Andrew Langlois by his wife Pauline, predeceased by brother Roland Langlois and is survived by his wife Sandy Langlios,predeceased by brother Walter Langlois and survived by his wife Dianne; she is also survived by her sister, Theresa Langlois, and her brother William Langlois, along with his wife Eileen Langlois, who continue to cherish her memory. She had a special bond with her god daughter Suzeanne Langlois. Her sisters-in-law, Pauline and Sandy Langlois also held the role of being best friends to Lorraine, and her landlord Peter Panagiotakos also held the role of a beloved friend, who was close to her heart. She left behind over 40 nieces and nephews, their children and their grandchildren, numerous friends and neighbors. Lorraine was a woman of faith who loved Jesus Christ and once aspired to be a nun but chose the path of marriage. She was always ready to have a good time; loved to sing and dance, and was the life of the party, the wild aunt, and the funny one. Lorraine was also an artist, spending countless hours painting, drawing, and crafting. Her most memorable painting is of Ground Zero from 9/11, which proudly adorns her daughter Lorrie's home. Throughout her life, Lorraine worked as a housekeeper in various locations, but she took immense pride in her role as "The Lobby Lady" at the Lowell Hilton. Later, she co-owned Ernie's Bookland, selling used books, comics and vinyl records in downtown Lowell. She was a devoted stay-at-home grandmother, caring for her grandchildren and family friends' children every day, allowing her loved ones to work. While this might not have been a paid job for Lorraine, it was her favorite job, because helping her loved ones and being with children was what she loved most. Lorraine Yvonne Boudreau's legacy of love will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will be carried forward by her family, friends, and loved ones, who will forever cherish the moments they shared with her. However, if you are an a**hole who she had no tolerance for, she prefers you forget her. A special note of gratitude is extended to her son Ernie, whose unwavering care allowed Lorraine's wish to die at home to be fulfilled. All who knew Lorraine are truly grateful for this tremendous act of love. Rest in Peace, Memere Lorraine Yvonne Boudreau. Family and Friends may call on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 2023 from 9 AM until 10:30 AM at the FAY MCCABE FUNERAL HOME 105 MOORE STREET, LOWELL, MA 01852. Lorraine’s FUNERAL MASS will follow at 11 AM at HOLY FAMILY PARISH-ST. MARIES ON THE CORNER OF GRAFTON and CHAMBERLAIN STS. Her burial will take place at WESTLAWN II CEMETERY.
