Lillian Perry Raytheon South Lowell Retiree LOWELL—Lillian Perry, a lifelong Lowell resident, passed away on Monday evening, July 4, 2011 at a local nursing home. She was 85 years old. Born and educated in Lowell, Lillian was raised by Wilfred and Blanche Lacasse, whom she lived with through her teenage years. She was a Highlands resident for many years, before settling on Moore Street, where she lived until her illness necessitated the need for nursing care. While living in the Highlands, Lillian was a parishioner of Notre Dame de Lourdes Parish as well as St. Margaret’s Parish. When she relocated to South Lowell, she belonged to the Sacred Heart Church, now Holy Family Parish. Lillian worked in the Mass Mills before beginning her employment at the Raytheon Company in South Lowell, a career which spanned over 35 years. She retired from Raytheon as a group leader. As a young girl, Lillian enjoyed Monday visits to the camp at Nutting Lake during the summer months. She loved the beach and the outdoors. Lillian also enjoyed dancing, especially in the days of the Commodore Ballroom. She liked to shop in the downtown Lowell department stores. Lillian loved to travel and enjoyed many trips to Fall River on weekends to visit with family and friends. Lillian loved to be around her family. Surviving Lillian are her God child, Lillian Burke of Nashua, NH; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Lillian is also survived by Michael Breton of Dracut, who looked after her care following the death of his mother, Irene Morin of Andover, a longtime friend and coworker of Lillian’s. Lillian spent many holidays and special occasions in the company of her late friends, Irene and Donald Morin of Andover. In her later years, both Irene and Donald took very good care of Lillian, making sure she had everything she needed and she was always comfortable. Lillian was predeceased by her siblings, Gerard Lacasse, Leontine Roy, Leona Cantin and Rita Cantin. FUNERAL NOTICE PERRY—In Lowell, July 4, 2011. Lillian Perry age 85 of South Lowell.
