OBITUARY Kathleen A. Graham Loving Mother, Grandmother, and Sister LOWELL—Kathleen A. “Kathy” (Hickey) Graham, 69, a resident of Lowell, MA, passed away at her home on Thursday, November 14, 2019. Kathy was born on July 7, 1950 in Tewksbury, MA. She was a daughter of the late Francis and Elaine (Barron) Hickey. Kathy attended Tewksbury Schools and lived there until her late teens when she then moved to Lowell. It was on London Street where Kathy raised her family and had her happiest times. Her children and grandchildren meant everything to her. Kathy raised four children, Patrick, Michael, Daniel and Kristen. She made many memories with her children, Christmases topping the list. Kathy would “go crazy” celebrating. Special memories were also made in the summers spent in Loudon, NH at their Lake House. This tradition has been carried on with her grandchildren who spend lots of time there in all the seasons. A whole new generation to carry on the wonderful times spent there. As a Grandmother, Kathy was very involved and loving. She attended all of her grandchildren’s sporting events and supported their athletic hopes just as she had done for her own children. Cooking was another activity Kathy enjoyed and she loved preparing food for her family and for the holidays. Kathy shared a closeness with her siblings and loved spending time in Florida with her sisters. She was also a bird watcher and enjoyed time outdoors. For twenty years, she had a pet bird, Rosie. She also had a beloved dog, Rusty. Kathy was a hard worker and took pride in her places of employment, Tewksbury Hospital, Teradyne, and the Pawtucket Memorial School in Lowell where she was in charge of the cafeteria. Kathy is survived by her son Patrick Graham and his wife Haley of Hampton, NH, her son Daniel Graham and his wife, Rebecca, of Lowell, and her daughter Kristen Graham of Lowell; her grandchildren, Jaylin Ubri, Shea Graham, Jovani Ubri, Bryn Graham, Delaney Graham, Griffin Graham, and Nora Graham. Kathy’s beloved son Michael passed away in 2000. Maurice “Butch” Mercier was Kathy’s long-time companion and they are now reunited. She is also survived by her sister, Patricia Bradnick of Tewksbury and her sister, Mary Lou Labossiere and her husband Jack of Wilmington. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss her dearly. Kathy was also the sister of the late Thomas Hickey and the late Robert Hickey. FUNERAL NOTICE GRAHAM—In Lowell, November 14, 2019, unexpectedly at her home, Kathy Graham, 69, a longtime South Lowell resident. Family and friends may call at the FAY McCABE FUNERAL HOME, 105 MOORE STREET, LOWELL, on WEDNESDAY from 4 until 8 P.M. Kathy’s Funeral will begin on THURSDAY MORNING at 9 o’clock from the Funeral Home, followed by her FUNERAL MASS at 10 o’clock at HOLY FAMILY PARISH – ST.
