Kate Bouavanh Lengsavat Beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend LOWELL—Kate Bouavanh Lengsavat, 50, passed away on Thursday, September 29 2022, following a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Kate was the loving and caring wife to her husband of 24 years Chhouy Nick Tek, and mother to daughters Kailee Tek and Emme Tek, all of Lowell. Kate was born in Huayxay, Laos on March 7, 1972, a daughter of the late Ah Lengsavat and Fong (Xayarath) Lengsavat. She came to the United States in 1980 and settled in Lowell. She was a graduate of Lowell High School with the class of 1990. Kate was employed with BAE Systems as a Quality Control Inspector. Previously, she had worked at Textron for many years. Kate loved family gatherings. Being around the ones she loved was always most important to her. Her grandson Easton was her joy and she loved spending time with him. Kate was also looking forward to the birth of her niece Alexandria’s first child. She enjoyed watching YouTube, K-dramas, cooking, and was a low-key BTS fan (sorry mommy). Gardening and walks outside were always enjoyable, as were trips to the beach. She had a dark sense of humor, and would always be the first one to laugh at her own jokes. Kate is survived by her loving family, her husband Nick Tek; her daughters Kailee Tek and her boyfriend Kevin Dy, and Emme Tek; her grandson Easton Tek-You; her siblings, Bouahome Snoukphonh, Thongsay Sananixay Manivone Lengsavath, Sommay Lengsavat, Bouavone Chanthachack, and Lauren Lengsavat; also many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Kate was the sister of the late Ngor Lengsavat who died in 2021. Kate’s FUNERAL will begin on FRIDAY MORNING at 7 AM with Traditional Buddhist Funeral Services at the Funeral Home, followed by her FUNERAL PROCESSION at 8 AM to the LINWOOD CREMATORY, 41 John Ward Avenue, Haverhill, for Funeral Services, Blessings, and Cremation.
