Karen J. Laine Dowling Beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother DRACUT—Karen Joyce (Larose) Laine Dowling, 50, passed away on Friday morning, April 28, 2017, surrounded by her loving family at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill after a long courageous battle with cancer. Karen was the beloved wife of Paul J. Dowling and they resided in Dracut. Karen was born in Lowell on April 5, 1967, a daughter of the late Roger J. and the late Constance (Scott) Larose. She attended Dracut Schools and was a graduate of Dracut High School. Karen also graduated from the University of Massachusetts Lowell with a Bachelor of Science Degree. For eighteen years, Karen was employed by the Internal Revenue Service in Andover, MA, as a Customer Service Representative. Karen treasured spending time with her children and her grandchildren. She enjoyed knitting, coloring, crocheting and all other types of creative art. Karen was a big fan of the New England Patriots and watched the team each season. Her favorite pastime was going to the beach. She loved driving along the coast from Newburyport, MA to Old Orchard Beach, ME. York Beach, Maine held a special meaning for her. Karen was loved and will be dearly missed by her husband Paul J. Dowling of Dracut; her three children, Megan Janocha and her husband Steven of Haverhill, Christopher Laine of Pepperell, and Jessica Laine and her fiancé James Breadmore of Dracut; four grandchildren, McKenna and Steven Janocha III, Emmalin Laine, and Anastasia Breadmore; her sisters and brothers, Lucille Radcliffe and her husband Jerry of Lowell, Robert Larose, Edward Larose and his wife Roberta of Lowell, and Lisa Martin and her husband David of Manchester, NH; her former spouse Raymond Laine; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins. Her mother-in-law, Rose Dowling of Lowell; and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Edward and Maria Dowling of Lowell, John and Patricia Dowling of Dracut, Catherine Dowling of Dracut, Marybeth Beauchesne and her husband Roger of Lowell and Lawrence and Stacy Dowling of Nashua, NH.
