Mrs. Florence M. Muldoon

Florence M. Muldoon Loving Mother and Grandmother TEWKSBURY— Florence M. (Fontes) Muldoon, 86, of Tewksbury and formerly of Lowell, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Robert E. Muldoon who passed away on July 28, 2002. Florence was born in Chelmsford on October 13, 1927, a daughter of the late Antonio and Mary Fontes. She attended the Lowell schools and was a longtime parishioner of the Sacred Heart Church. Florence began her career at the McGowan Educator Biscuit Company in Lowell. She was later employed for over 30 years at Prince Macaroni. When Prince closed in 1997, she moved to the Teradyne Corp. from which she retired. Florence’s most cherished time was spent with her granddaughters and her great granddaughter. She was an avid Bingo player and loved taking trips to the beach and to Foxwoods. Mrs. Muldoon is survived by her son, Robert D. Muldoon and his wife Deborah of Tewksbury; two granddaughters, Dina Pelliccia and her husband Quentin, and Krista Curry and her husband Benjamin, all of Lowell; one great granddaughter, Adrianna Paige Curry; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Muldoon was the sister of the late Lydia Charette, Arthur Fontes, and John Fontes. The Muldoon family is grateful to CNA Malinda Bazdanes for the loving care she provided daily to Florence. Mrs. Muldoon’s Funeral will begin on SATURDAY MORNING at 8:30 A.M. from the Funeral Home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM at ST. MARGARET’S CHURCH, 374 Stevens St. Lowell. Her burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
