Estelle Y. Ducharme Loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Aunt LOWELL—Estelle Y. (Ouellette) Ducharme, 96, the beloved wife of the late Henry A. Ducharme, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2012 at a local nursing home, following a brief illness. Estelle was born in Nashua, NH on July 21, 1915, a daughter of the late Sylvio and Delisca (Lesage) Ouellette. She was educated in the Nashua School System. She married Henry A. Ducharme on September 3, 1938 in the Chapel of St. Joseph’s Hospital in Nashua. Estelle and her family resided in Nashua for many years. She was employed at St. Joseph’s Hospital as a supervisor-dietician until her retirement. Following her husband Henry’s passing in 1971, Estelle moved to Dracut and lived with her sister, Claire V. Plourde for 35 years. Estelle was a former communicant of St. Joseph’s Parish in Nashua, and Ste. Therese Church in Dracut. She held member of the Dracut Senior Citizen’s Club, and The Widow’s Association of the United Commercial Travelers-UCT. Estelle enjoyed crossword puzzles, cooking and dining out. Many happy days were spent with her family on Rock Pond in New Hampshire. A seamstress, Estelle enjoyed crocheting and knitting and making her own dresses. She also loved shopping, animals and taking part in holiday events with her family. Surviving Estelle are her children, Denise C. LaPorte and her husband Gary R. LaPorte of Hudson, NH, and Arthur G. Ducharme and his wife Susan M. (Bleau) Ducharme of Merrimack, NH; two sisters, Claire V. Plourde and her husband Norman J. Plourde of Dracut, MA, and Rita C. Netto of Nashua, formerly of Dracut; a brother, Roland J. Ouellette and his wife Doris (Morin) Ouellette of Nashua; four grandchildren, Melissa A. Thomsom and her husband David of Merrimack, NH, Derek A. Ducharme and his friend Krystal A. Parolisi of Merrimack, NH, Craig R. LaPorte and his wife Rebecca A. LaPorte of Hudson, NH, and Jeffrey S. LaPorte and his wife Danielle of Deering, NH; six great grandchildren, Austen, Joshua, Angel, Damien, Kevin, and Alexis; several nieces and nephews, grand nieces , grand nephews, and her Godson, David N.
