Mrs. Elizabeth A. Hoey

Elizabeth A. Hoey Loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother LOWELL—Elizabeth A. (Gustafson) Hoey passed away unexpectedly at Lowell General Hospital on April 8, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was 71 years old. Elizabeth was the beloved wife of the late Robert J. Hoey, Sr. who passed away on March 10, 2000. Elizabeth was born in Lowell on May 14, 1946, a daughter of the late I. Eric and Bernetta (Manahan) Gustafson. She was educated in the Lowell Schools and was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church. Mrs. Hoey remained at home to raise her seven children. She was a wonderful wife and mother. Elizabeth was a huge fan of Elvis and Toby Keefe. She enjoyed many trips to Foxwoods. Most of all, Mrs. Hoey loved her family, her children and her grandchildren. Her last day was memorable; spent with those who loved her the most. Mrs. Hoey’s family would like to thank the staff at Lowell General Hospital and Dr. Pickul for the love and support shown to their mother. Mrs. Hoey is survived by her six children, Kelly Luis and her husband Val of Lowell, Michael Hoey and his companion Kerry Fantasia of Dracut, Ronnie Hoey of Dracut, James Hoey and his wife Kerry of Lowell, Steven Hoey and his wife Tracy of Lowell and Christopher Hoey of Lowell. Mrs. Hoey was the mother of Laurie Lynn Hoey who passed away on August 30, 2004. She also leaves fourteen grandchildren, Erica Walker and her husband Jason, Nicole Lenzi and her husband Myles, Ashley Hoey, Brittany DaSilva and her companion Junior, Christine Tessier and her husband Kevin, Chelsey Luis and her fiancé Kevin Sorota, Michael Hoey, Trisha Luis, Colin Hoey, Danielle DeMoura, Kristen Hoey, Patrick Hoey, Ethan Hoey and Corey Hoey; eight great grandchildren; a sister Anita Daudelin of Lowell; her brother-in-law and sisters-in-law William and Mary Hoey of Lowell, and Barbara Hoey of Chelmsford; a Goddaughter Lee Gath of Tewksbury; her best friend Lynn Gath of Tewksbury; her dear friend Jennie Muldoon of Lowell, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
