OBITUARY VICTORIA V. LaROCHELLE Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother LOWELL— Victoria V. (Payeur) LaRochelle, 86, the beloved wife of 65 years of Joseph LaRochelle, and a resident of South Lowell, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Lowell General’s Saints Campus. Victoria was born in Boston, on November 30, 1926, a daughter of the late Edward and Sarah (Veau) Payeur, and step-daughter of the late Henry Croteau. Victoria grew up in Maine and attended school in Biddeford. She married Joseph LaRochelle on May 31, 1947 at Notre Dame de Lourdes Church in Lowell. Together they raised two daughters and one son, and have lived in Lowell for over 65 years. Victoria was a parishioner of the former Sacred Heart Church. Victoria worked for many years in the electronics industry, first for Wang, and later for Raytheon. Victoria loved the beach, especially in Wells, Maine. She also enjoyed their lakefront family home in Alfred, Maine, where many good times were spent. Victoria and her husband Joseph liked to go antiquing and searching through yard sales for treasures. She also enjoyed traveling and creating arts and crafts. Victoria’s favorite saying was, “I Love You, A Bushel and a Peck.” The family of Victoria LaRochelle would like to acknowledge and thank the Nurses and Staff at the Palm Center – Palm Manor Nursing Home for the care and kindness shown to their wife, mother, and grandmother during her stay with them. Victoria is survived by her husband Joseph LaRochelle, her two daughters, Linda Gendron and her husband Omer, Brenda Garabedian and her husband George, all of Lowell; her son, John LaRochelle of Tewksbury; five grandchildren, Jennifer Wilson and her husband Tim, Amy Hudzik and her husband Mike, Rebecca DeLaRosa and her husband Felix, Andrew Garabedian and Rachel Garabedian. She was also the great grandmother of 9; and sister of Madeline Tyson of Georgia, and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Victoria was the step sister of the late Armand Croteau and Doris Fortier. FUNERAL NOTICE All Funeral Services will be held on FRIDAY MORNING, November 8, 2013. Family and friends may call at the FAY McCABE FUNERAL HOME, 105 MOORE STREET, LOWELL, on FRIDAY MORNING from 9 until 11 A.M. Victoria’s Funeral Service will follow at 11 A.M. in the Funeral Home.
