Mr. Timothy J. Lekites
April 3, 1969 - February 13, 2022
Timothy J. Lekites Beloved Son, Brother, Uncle LOWELL- Timothy J. “Tim” Lekites passed away peacefully on February 13, 2022 at Lowell General Hospital. He was surrounded by his loving parents and sisters. Timmy was born on April 3, 1969 to Robert and Jan (Doherty) Lekites. Tim rounded out the large and loving family as lucky #7 of the clan. He joined Bobby, Nancy, Kerry, Joey, Suzanne, and Amy. Jan and Bob, the ever doting parents, shared a mutual bond and love with Timmy that only a fellow parent would understand. Growing up in the tightly knit Centralville section of Lowell was a joy for Timmy. He attended the neighborhood school, the Robinson, played Little League, and had several pals in the neighborhood, most of whom became lifelong friends. Timmy attended The Greater Lowell Vocational High School where he was a member of the wrestling team. In his younger years, he worked with the Finn Family at Lowell Forms. For several years Timmy worked at the Lowell Police Department as a Detention Attendant in the Cell Block. Most recently Tim was employed as a security guard at Gillette Stadium and T. D. Garden. This was the dream job for him as he loved all genres of music and was a passionate Boston sports fan. He loved WWF Wrestling and attending ballgames and proudly wore the jerseys of his favorite Boston sports teams. In true Bostonian form, he ran on Dunkins’. Timmy was a clothes horse and loved new clothes, hand me downs would not do for the baby of this crew! Timmy loved the beach and camping in Sebago Lake. Family was central to Timmy. It was at family gatherings, cookouts, and holidays that he was happiest. Christmas was his favorite holiday. He enjoyed the whole holiday season and celebrated enthusiastically. Timmy was the proud Godfather to his niece, Catherine Casey, nephew, Jared Lekites, and to Emma Czarnionka. Tim’s whole world was centered around his Mom and Dad. They were his whole heart, his whole soul, his greatest loves, his best friends, and his biggest supporters. Timmy’s big heart, warm smile, and gentle presence will be missed greatly. It is a comfort to know that Amy has been joined by her little brother and she will now have a partner to help look over the whole Lekites family until they are reunited. In addition to his parents, Bob and Jan, Timmy is survived by his brothers and sisters, Robert L. Lekites, Jr. and his wife Edie, Nancy (Lekites) Boucher and her husband Paul, Kerry (Lekites) Cregg and her husband Robert, Joey Lekites and his wife Donna, Suzanne (Lekites) Ricoy and her husband Jim; his nieces and nephews, Robbie, Ryan, Rory, and Ross Lekites, Joel and Jared Lekites, Ashley and Robbie Boucher, Catherine (Boucher) Casey, Katie (Bowen) Ferrraro, Chris Bowen, Jimmy Ricoy, Elizabeth and Sean Cregg; his Godmother, Frances L’Hussier, his dear friend, Jen McGonagle, and 27 great nieces and nephews with number 28 on the way in June. Timmy was the brother of Amy L. Lekites who passed away in 1986. The Lekites Family would like to thank Lahey Clinic for the wonderful care Tim received. They would like to thank all of Tim’s visiting nurses, especially Katie Kirane, and the Medical Staff at Lowell General Hospital for the care that he got in his final days.
