Pauline M Conlon

LOWELL—Pauline M. (Cote) Conlon, the beloved wife of the late Captain Thomas C. Conlon, LFD, died Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at the Palm Manor Nursing Home in Chelmsford after a short illness. She was 88 years old. Pauline was born in Lowell on April 2, 1922, a daughter of the late Joseph J. and Jennie (McGaunn) Cote and the sister of the late Joseph Cote. She was educated in the Lowell School system. Pauline was employed at Courier Citizen where she was a supervisor for many years. She later worked as a secretary in the Unemployment Office. During that time, Pauline also volunteered at Saints Medical Center. Pauline was later employed for 19 years at the University of Lowell (UMASS) O’Leary Library. Pauline was a parishioner of St. Margaret’s Church and a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality. She also held membership in the Billerica Irish American Club and the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians. Pauline was an avid Red Sox Fan. Most of all, Pauline was a loving grandmother who lived for her grandchildren. Surviving Mrs. Conlon are her children, Joan M. Barker and her husband Frank of Stoneham, MA, Janice C. Lehner and her husband Marc of Salem, NH, Thomas J. Conlon of Lowell, and Paul C. Conlon of Lowell; five grandchildren, Matthew Miguel, Abraham Conlon, Felicia Barker, Abigail Lehner, and Erin Lehner; a daughter-in-law, Bonny Kinney of North Chelmsford; a sister-in-law, Alice Conlon of Rochester, NY; also several nieces, nephews, and many wonderful friends.
