Mario Robert Brum Beloved Son, Husband, Father, Grandfather LOWELL—Mario R. Brum, 42, passed away unexpectedly on April 16, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Nancy (Cotto) Brum and the loving father of Amanda, Kelvin, Marcus, and Ava. He was also the adored son of Francisco and Licia (Bolarinho) Brum who survive him. Mario was born in Lowell on October 9, 1972. He was educated in Lowell Schools and attended the Greater Lowell Vocational School. He went onto work as a Selector/Operator at the Market Basket Warehouse in Tewksbury. Mario enjoyed his job, was a hard worker and well-liked by his colleagues. Nothing brought more joy to Mario than to spend time with his loving family. His children were his greatest accomplishment and he and Nancy took great delight in spending time as a family. Being a grandfather was an honor to Mario and his love for his grandchildren, Analeigh and Cayson was obvious. Mario was very generous and the funniest and silliest guy you could ever meet. He took great pleasure in making others laugh. Mario’s smile was contagious. Mario enjoyed fishing and loved all types of music. He enjoyed sharing both of these past times with his family and friends. He was a committed husband and a passionate father and friend. In addition to his wife, children, grandchildren, and parents, Mario is survived by his brothers; Francisco Brum and George Brum; his sister, Leonor Tavares; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, in-laws, and friends. FUNERAL NOTICE BRUM – Died April 16, 2015, Mario R. Brum, age 42, the loving husband of Nancy (Cotto) Brum. Family and friends may call at the FAY McCABE FUNERAL HOME, 105 MOORE STREET, LOWELL, on FRIDAY MORNING, April 24, 2015 from 9 AM until 11 AM. Mr. Brum’s FUNERAL MASS will follow on FRIDAY MORNING at 11:30 AM at ST. ANTHONY’S CHURCH. Burial will take place in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Lowell. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations to the MARIO BRUM CHILDREN’S EDUCATION FUND may be made at any Lowell 5 Bank location.
