Joyce V. Pearce Soucy LOWELL—Joyce V. (Pearce) Soucy, 78, passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon, September 18, 2015, at Wingate at Andover, following a brief illness. Joyce was born in Chicago, IL on February 9, 1937, the daughter of the late Norman and Irene (Souza) Lapham. As a young girl, Joyce and her family moved to Richmond, California, where she received her education. For over 20 years, Joyce was a Tax Accountant and was the proprietor of MMB Tax Services in Lowell. In her free time, Joyce enjoyed music, especially Elvis, dancing and most importantly her time with her children and her extended family. Joyce is survived by her son, David A. Luiz and his fiancé Lynn Crosby of North Andover; her daughters, Cynthia E. Anderson of Bellville, IL, Gloria H. Pearce of Lawrence and Candace Gregorian of N. Chelmsford; 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; her husband Gilbert Soucy Jr., step-children Kathy Lambroukos; Chris and her husband Jim Bizeur, and Gilbert Soucy, III and his wife Deb, and their families. Joyce is also survived by many dear friends whom comprise her extended family. Joyce’s family would like to acknowledge, with deep gratitude, Elba Colon, their mother’s caregiver for the last year, for the loving care and support she provided Joyce and the entire family! Family and friends may call at the FAY McCABE FUNERAL HOME, 105 MOORE STREET, LOWELL, on SATURDAY FROM 9 AM until 10:30 AM. Mrs. Soucy’s FUNERAL SERVICE will follow at 11 AM in the Funeral Home.
