Gail S. Robillard-Rivera Loving Wife, Devoted Mother, Proud Grandmother and Cherished Sister Administrative Assistant at the Lowell Sun Newspaper LOWELL—Gail S. Robillard-Rivera, the loving wife of Jesus “Jay” Rivera and the devoted Mother of Arielle Kristian Rivera and Dominique “Nikki” Rivera, passed away on Friday afternoon, July 6, 2012 at her home, surrounded by the love of her family. She was 51 years old. Gail fought a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Gail Suzanne Robillard was born in Lowell on September 16, 1960, a daughter of the late Francis and Thelma (Wells) Robillard. She attended Lowell Schools and was a graduate of the Greater Lowell Regional Vocational Technical High School. As a teenager, Gail was a member of the Notre Dame de Lourdes Marching Band in Lowell. A lifelong Lowell resident, Gail and her family made their home on Christian Hill in the Centralville neighborhood. She was a parishioner of St. Michael’s Church. Early in her working career, Gail was employed at Wang Laboratories and at Telespectrum. Gail spent the past 8 years at the Lowell Sun, working as the Administrative Assistant in the Circulation Department. As a mother, Gail was completely involved in her daughter’s lives. She would volunteer and lend a hand in all of her daughter’s activities. She was a member of the Lowell High School Cheerleader’s Parent’s Organization. As an employee of The Sun, Gail was faithfully involved with the Lowell Sun Charities and all the good works the newspaper carried out in our community. Gail loved to read, dine out, and go to the movies. Spending time with her family and friends is what she most enjoyed. Gail was a beautiful woman, with a spirit that few can match. Gail is survived by her loving family: her husband Jesus “Jay” Rivera; her two daughters, Arielle K. Rivera of Vermont, and Dominique M. “Nikki” Rivera of Lowell; her grandson, Isaac Swasey of Vermont; her sister Meg Lemire-Berthel and her husband Fred of Nashua; her three brothers, Alan Robillard and his wife Sandra of Anchorage, Alaska, Wayne Robillard of Lowell, and Norman Robillard and his wife Maria of Tucson, AZ; her aunts and uncles, Leon Wells, Joan Robillard, Robert Robillard, Richard Robillard; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. FUNERAL NOTICE ROBILLARD-RIVERA—In Lowell, July 6, 2012 at her home, Gail S. Robillard-Rivera, 51, the beloved wife of Jesus “Jay” Rivera. Family and friends may call at the FAY McCABE FUNERAL HOME, 105 MOORE STREET, LOWELL on FRIDAY, July 13, 2012 from 4 until 8 PM. Gail’s Funeral will begin on SATURDAY MORNING at 9 o’clock from the Funeral Home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 o’clock in ST. MICHAEL’S CHURCH, 543 Bridge St. at Sixth St., Lowell. Her burial service will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
