Edith C. Sheehan Loving Mother and Grandmother LOWELL—Edith C. (Blaha) Sheehan, 95, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2022 at Willow Manor. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles J. Sheehan Jr. who died in 1997. Edith was born in Lowell on November 4, 1926, a daughter of the late Edward and Emma (Weinand) Blaha. She was educated at the Riverside School and was a graduate of Lowell High School. Prior to her retirement, Edith was employed at the U.S. Bunting Mills. In her younger years, Edith enjoyed Foxwood trips, Bingo, cooking for her family and friends for the holidays. She loved the Beach Boys, watching The Price is Right, and playing card games and Poker games with her family. Edith had a great personality and was loved by everyone. She was especially fond of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Edith was the mother of the late Kevin J. Sheehan who died in 2020 and Janet A. Iozzo who died in 1998. Edith is survived by her children, Nancy M. Zerbinopoulos of Chelmsford, Deborah J. Rios of Lowell, Donna J. Sheehan of Lowell, Charles J. Sheehan III and his wife Elvira of Lowell, Dennis M. Sheehan of San Diego, CA, Robert W. Sheehan and his wife Judy of Gardner, Brian P. Sheehan of Dracut, and Scott E. Sheehan and his wife Sara of Palm Beach, FL; 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; her sister, Ruth Gallagher of Lowell and Marjorie Lawson and her husband Tom of Florida; also many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. Edith was the sister of the late John Blaha, Edward Blaha, Emma A. Minor, and Anna Flanagan, and the mother-in-law of the late John Iozzo, George Zerbinopoulos, and Alberto Rios. FUNERAL NOTICE SHEEHAN—In Lowell, April 22, 2022, Edith C. (Blaha) Sheehan, 95, wife of the late Charles J. Sheehan, Jr. Family and friends may call at the FAY McCABE FUNERAL HOME on THURSDAY from 3 until 7 PM. Edith’s Funeral Service will take place on FRIDAY MORNING at 10 AM in the Funeral Home.
