Mrs. Rosemary A. Trainor

Rosemary A. Trainor Loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother Rosemary A. Trainor, 91, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 12, 2021 after a period of declining health. The beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Trainor who passed away on February 19, 2003. She was a parishioner of the former Sacred Heart Church in Lowell. Rosemary was born in Lowell on October 12, 1929, a daughter of the late John C. and Rose M. (Cox) Dailey. She was raised and educated in Lowell and was a graduate of Lowell High School class of 1947. Once her children were school age Rosemary worked as a teacher’s aide and as secretary to the principal at Parker Jr High School in Chelmsford. She later worked in the corporate offices of Purity Supreme until her retirement in 1996. Up until February of 2020 Rosemary enjoyed volunteering at the Chelmsford Senior Center. She volunteered through Community Teamwork for over 15 years. Rosemary was fiercely independent and very determined. She enjoyed reading Star Magazine, trips to the Dollar Tree, and watching Tom Brady. She was widely known for her colorful matching outfits. Most importantly she loved to spend time with her family and keep up with what was going on in the lives of her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her two children; Thomas J. Trainor and his wife Barbara of Pelham, NH, Mary Beth Hardy and her husband Steven of Tyngsboro; 6 grandchildren; Kaitlyn Trainor of Londonderry, NH, Erin Untiet and her husband Chris of Manchester, NH, Daniel Trainor and his wife Jacki of Londonderry, NH, Brianna Trainor of Pelham, NH, Kelly Hardy and her boyfriend Ryan Crowley of Nashua, NH and Ryan Hardy of Tyngsboro; 3 great-grandchildren; Owen Christopher Untiet, Jackson Donald Untiet and Cecelia Rose Trainor; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her three brothers; Owen, John, and Robert Dailey. FUNERAL NOTICE TRAINOR—In Lowell, February 12, 2021, Rosemary (Dailey) Trainor, 91, a longtime Chelmsford resident and the wife of the late Thomas J. Trainor. Family and friends may call at the FAY McCABE FUNERAL HOME, 105 MOORE STREET, LOWELL on TUESDAY from 4 until 8 PM. Due to current guidelines, face masks must be worn and proper social distancing measures will be in place. Rosemary’s Funeral will begin on WEDNESDAY MORNING at 10 AM from the Funeral Home, followed by her FUNERAL MASS AT 11 AM at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH. Burial will follow in ST. PATRICK’S CEMETERY. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Rosemary’s name may be made to Chelmsford Senior Center, 75 Groton Road, N. Chelmsford, MA 01863.
