Mr. Paul W. Cote

Paul W. Cote Loving Father and Grandfather CHELMSFORD—Paul W. Cote, 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening at Lahey Hospital in Burlington, with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary T. (Caveney) Cote, with whom he celebrated 56 years of marriage. Paul was born in Lowell on April 12, 1930, a son of the late George and Agnes (Sullivan) Cote. Educated in the Lowell Schools, Paul was a graduate of Lowell High School and attended Lowell Technological Institute. Mr. Cote was a proud Army Veteran of the Korean War For his 40 year working career Paul was employed with Mass Electric Company. Mr. Cote was a hard worker and a dedicated family man. He was a kind and gentle man. Among his many interests, playing golf and his love of music were most important. Paul had a wonderful sense of humor and always had a quick wit. Mr. Cote loved spending his retirement years with his wife at their home in Ft. Myers, Florida. Surviving Mr. Cote are his three daughters, Mary Beth Dunn and her husband Steve of Mashpee, MA, Jill Forkert and her husband Richard of Ft. Wayne, IN, and Christina Gleason and her husband Tim of Boston, MA. Mr. Cote was the father of the late Paul Timothy “Tim” Cote who passed away in 2013. He also leaves his three grandchildren, Brad Dunn and his wife Tanya of Campbell, CA, Michael Dunn and his wife Charlotte of Andover, MA and Justin Forkert of Ft. Wayne, IN; two brothers, Gerald Cote and his wife Pat and Richard Cote; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Paul was the brother of the late James Cote. FUNERAL NOTICE COTE—in Burlington, January 14, 2016, at Lahey Hospital, Paul W. Cote, 85, a longtime resident of Chelmsford and Ft. Myers, FL and the beloved husband of the late Mary T. (Caveney) Cote. Family and friends are invited to attend Mr. Cote’s FUNERAL MASS on TUESDAY AFTERNOON at 1 PM at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH, 144 East Merrimack St. Lowell.
