Mary Cote Loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother CHELMSFORD -- Mrs. Mary (Caveney) Cote, age 80, a long-time resident of Chelmsford and Fort Myers, FL, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Merrimack Valley Hospice in Haverhill, MA. Mary was the beloved wife of Paul Cote with whom she just celebrated 56 years of marriage. Born in Lowell on April 7, 1931, she was a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Cahill) Caveney. Mary was educated in Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School and Lowell Commercial College. Mary was employed at the General Electric Co. until the time of her marriage to Paul. Mrs. Cote then remained at home to care for her family. Family was the center of Mary’s life. She took pride in her children and grandsons. Mary enjoyed traveling and treasured her winters in Florida. Surviving Mary in addition to her loving husband Paul are her four children, Mary Beth Dunn and her husband Steve of New York, New York, Jill Forkert and her husband Richard of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Tim Cote of Dracut, and Christina Gleason and her husband Tim of Boston; three grandchildren, Brad Dunn, Michael Dunn and Justin Forkert; two sisters, Claire Doherty of Lowell, and Helen Ecklund of Dracut; also many sisters and brothers- in-law and several nieces and nephews. Mary was also the sister of the late William Caveney, Elizabeth Caveney, Grace Dunlavey, Catherine Toti, John Caveney, James Caveney, Joseph Caveney, Louise Hanney and Richard Caveney. FUNERAL NOTICE COTE—In Haverhill, November 29, 2011 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House. Mary Theresa (Caveney) Cote, 80, beloved wife of Paul Cote of Chelmsford. It being her wish, there will be no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend her FUNERAL MASS on SATURDAY MORNING at 9 o’clock at ST. MARY’S CHURCH, North Road, Chelmsford. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, N. Tewksbury.
