Mrs. Marti Ann (Bogdzewic) Martinez

Marti A. Martinez Loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend LAWRENCE--Marti Ann (Bogdzewic) Martinez, 38, the wife of Jonathan Martinez and the mother of Nikolas, Gabriela, and Kaleb Martinez, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Massachusetts General Hospital, following a brief illness. Marti was born in Lowell on August 21, 1974, a daughter of the late Ellen F. (Bogdzewic) Martin and Richard Martin. She attended Lowell Schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School, Class of 1992. She furthered her education at Middlesex Community College, earned her degree, and became a Registered Nurse. She was employed first at the Home Health VNA of Merrimack Valley in Lawrence, and more recently at the Multicultural Home Care of Lawrence. Marti loved her work. Her personality was made for nursing –service and caring for others. At home, Marti loved her family with her big heart. Her contagious smile was always followed by her contagious laughter. She had an awesome sense of humor. She was a generous person, giving of herself to anyone in need. Marti would have given you the shirt off her back. She was a hard worker. She kept a clean tidy home. She loved to shop, loved the beach, and loved to sing. Marti lived on the edge of life. Her motto was “Live each day like it’s your last.” Marti is survived by her loving family; her husband Jonathan Martinez of Lawrence; her adoring children, Nikolas J. Martinez, Gabriela F.C. Martinez, and Kaleb E. Martinez, all of Lawrence; her sister, Susan Cortez and her husband Roger of Dracut; her uncle and aunt, David and Jeanne Bogdzewic of Lowell; her nephews and niece, Roger Jr., Eddie, Thomas, and Catherine Cortez, all of Dracut. Marti is also survived by many extended family members and close friends. FUNERAL NOTICE MARTINEZ—In Boston, December 26, 2012, Marti Ann (Bogdzewic) Martinez, 38, formerly of Lowell and a resident of Lawrence. Family and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Saturday Morning, January 5, 2013 at 10 o’clock at HOLY FAMILY PARISH – ST. MARIE’S CHURCH, corner of Chamberlain and Grafton Sts. Lowell.
