Mrs. Marilyn J. Nagle

Mrs. Marilyn J. Nagle November 12, 1932 – July 19, 2023 Marilyn Joyce (Shaw) Nagle, 90, of Bedford, formerly of Lowell, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late William F. Nagle to whom she was married for 52 years and also predeceased by her beloved eldest daughter Kathleen Ann Egbers, her sister Lois Helen (Shaw) Breakey and her brother Roy Thomas Shaw. Marilyn was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Roy Ellsworth Shaw and the late Annie (Smith) Shaw. After the untimely death of her father, Marilyn, with her mother, sister, and brother moved to Lowell. Graduating from Lowell High School Class of 1950 she had many close friends and held membership of the Marksman’s Club and the Tri-Hi Civic & Social Functions Club. She was a member of the local court, Catholic Daughters of America, and a parishioner of Holy Family Parish–St. Marie’s. Marilyn and Bill met while ice skating and soon fell in love. They married in 1954 and were blessed with their five children. From a young age she began her career with solid work ethics, as an Administrative Assistant at Maribelle Shoe Company and KL Shoe Company with a focus on accounting. Before retiring, she was an outstanding employee of 20 years as a Production Supervisor and as a Research and Development Technician at Millipore Corporation. Marilyn devoted her time caring for her family. She and Bill enjoyed adventures in the White Mountains, camping at Pawtuckaway State Park, and trips to the beaches with their children and later with their grandchildren. She was very kind, generous, and compassionate. She had a great sense of humor, and a forgiving, loving, and courageous heart. Marilyn will be forever loved, her life lessons treasured, and memories of her always cherished. Marilyn is survived by four of her loving children and their spouses, William Nagle (Monica), Lynda Lewis (Robert), Pamela Nagle (Steve Jepsen), Roy Nagle (Patricia); her grandchildren and greatest joy, Robert and Matthew Egbers, Erin, Katie, and Amy Nagle, Sean and Aaron Lewis, Roy, Daniel, Patrick Nagle and Lauren Scott; several great grandchildren, nephews and nieces; a brother-in-law, Joseph Nagle and a sister-in-law, Mary Lloyd. Her family would like to express their gratitude to Marilyn’s Personal Care Assistant, Hayley Bayen, for her dedicated and loving care during the past several years. Marilyn’s FUNERAL MASS will follow at 11 o’clock at HOLY FAMILY PARISH – ST. MARIE’S CHURCH, corner of Chamberlain and Grafton Sts. Lowell. Burial will take place in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Lowell.
