Mrs. Linda F. Linane

Linda F. Linane Loving Mother and Grandmother LOWELL—Linda F. (Savard) Linane, 77, passed away peacefully at D’Youville Senior Care on Saturday, April 21, 2018. Linda was born and raised on Blossom Street in Lowell. She was the daughter of Esther and Samuel Savard and the sister of Robert Savard. Linda started her own family on June 12, 1959 when she married a neighborhood boy, John J. Linane, who passed on July 27, 2011. She is survived by her two children, Kelly P. Normandie and her husband James A. Normandie, and John J. Linane, Jr. and his wife Sandra Linane; her grandchildren and their families, Daniel J. Normandie and his wife Amanda, Sara L. Talbot and her husband Jonathan, Chelsea R. Linane, and Bridget A. Linane. Linda was lucky enough to have inherited two great grandchildren, Sean and Savannah, when she was gifted with her youngest, Stetson. She loved her visits with Savannah and Stetson, spending time playing with the babies. Linda devoted her time to raising her two children, although she did have several jobs during her younger years. Her favorite was her position as Hostess at The Cove Restaurant in Billerica, MA. She worked at The Cove for several years, thoroughly enjoying her time there. Her most important “job” was caring for her four grandchildren, two of whom were lucky enough to live right next door! She babysat and spoiled them for years! We sure were lucky to have her as she played an important role in their upbringing. Linda enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her two childhood friends Edna DeRienzo and Gerry Trimm. They sure had some good times. Linda’s house was always the place to be, with pool parties in the summer, Christmas Eve parties in the winter, or just watching wrestling and hockey games with her children and their friends. Her true passion though was her love for her cats. At one time, she had seven cats - she was truly a crazy cat lady, but we loved her. Linda’s family would like to extend their sincere appreciation for the care she received while a resident of the A Wing at D’Youville Senior Care. The nurses and staff are wonderful and we met a lot of extremely nice people while she was there. FUNERAL NOTICE LINANE—In Lowell, April 21, 2018 at D’Youville Senior Care, Linda F. Linane, 77, the beloved wife of the late John J. Linane. Family and friends may call at the FAY McCABE FUNERAL HOME, 105 MOORE STREET, LOWELL on TUESDAY from 4 until 8 PM. Mrs. Linane’s Funeral Service will take place on WEDNESDAY MORNING at 10 o’clock in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
