Mrs. Leah E. Platt

Leah E. Platt Loving Mother and Grandmother LOWELL—Leah Ethel (Flanagan) Platt, 70, passed away from a short, difficult battle with Leukemia on January 1, 2017 at Town and Country Health Care Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of Paul S. Platt, Sr. who died on April 28, 2000. Leah was born in Boston on September 2, 1946, a daughter of the late Leo Patrick Flanagan and Ethel (Clifford) Flanagan of Cambridge, MA. She grew up in Cambridge and was educated in the Cambridge Schools. She was the third child out of four and attended schools in Cambridge MA during her youth. Her best friend growing up was her younger sister Peggy, and they were often referred to as the “Irish Twins”. Between raising her children she also devoted many years caring for elderly and disabled people. Her passions in life were that she was an animal lover, she loved gardening, spending time with her family, and was a huge fan of Dunkin Donuts. Leah was the loving mother of James W. Kelly (Lindsay) of England, Margaret Dennehy (Scott) of Stoughton, MA, Deborah Corlin of Lowell, MA, and Paul Platt (Rachel) of Hudson, NH. Leah was the mother of the late Timothy Kelly. Leah also leaves her siblings, Harriett Pattay of S. Dennis, MA, Leonard Flanagan and Margaret Flanagan of Cambridge, MA; and her grandchildren, Brian Dennehy (Carri), Brenda Dennehy, Ashley Corlin, Alyssa Corlin, Brianna Arzola, Andre Arzola, Arrianna Arzola, Antonio Arzola, and Elliot Platt. Leah was the great grandmother of five and a cherished aunt and cousin to many. It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to dear Leah. She will be greatly missed by not only her family, but also her friends and all those that knew her. FUNERAL NOTICE LEAH E. PLATT PLATT—In Lowell, January 1, 2017, at Town and Country, Leah E.
