OBITUARY Joseph R. McGillicuddy Beloved Son, Father, Brother, Uncle LOWELL—Joseph Robert McGillicuddy, 52, passed away on Tuesday evening, August 29, 2017 at his home, following a long battle with cancer. He was the loving husband of Rosie McDougal who passed away October 21, 2014. Joseph was born in Lowell on August 30, 1964, a son of Dolores (Plourde) McGillicuddy and step son of Paul Pilato, Sr. Joe attended the Lowell Schools and worked in the construction industry, working for Demers Drywall then R & C Drywall. Joe was married to Rosie Marie “Rosie” McDougal for 29 years, until her passing almost 3 years ago. He loved Rosie deeply, along with their children and grandchildren. Joe loved his mother Dolores dearly. Joe was a huge Boston Sports fan, especially the Celtics, Pat’s and Sox. He had a ton of friends and he would do anything for anyone. No one had a bad word to say about him. He was loved by many and he had a good heart. Joe is survived by his mother, Dolores McGillicuddy and step father Paul Pilato, Sr.; his children, Christina Sordiff and her husband Angel Hernandez, Keith Baez and his wife Iris Rosario, Starsha McGillicuddy, Da’Vanni Curran, Joseph McGillicuddy, Jr., and Jocelyn Rosado; nine grandchildren, Angelieze Hernandez, Jeilynie Hernandez, Jaleel Baez, Journey Baez, Nehemiah Curran, Alaysha Curran, Jazzlyn Curran, Kavion Chambers, Aniah Rosado; his brothers and sisters, Albert McGillicuddy and his fiancé Lisa Dehney, Donald McGillicuddy and his fiancé Mary Thibodeau, Paul Pilato, Jr., Theresa McGillicuddy, and Mary Silva and her husband Michael; his mother-in-law, Ruby McDougal; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including his very close family friend Ann White. Joe was also the son of the late Albert McGillicuddy who died in October of 2001 and brother of the late Cindy Rae McGillicuddy who died on September 21, 2015. FUNERAL NOTICE JOSEPH R.
