Mr. Henry P. Surprenant

Henry P. Surprenant Saco, Maine Resident, formerly of Lowell, MA SACO, ME—Henry Peter Surprenant, the beloved husband of Maria (Pacheco) Surprenant, passed away at his home after a courageous seven month battle with lung cancer on Wednesday morning, October 27, 2010. Henry was surrounded by his loving wife and family. Henry was born in Lowell, MA on April 10, 1949, a son of Margaret L. (Metivier) Surprenant who survives him, and the late Henry P. Surprenant. He was educated in Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School, Class of 1967, and New Hampshire College. Henry was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving for 1 ½ years in Germany. For over 25 years, Henry was in the Automobile business, working in sales and as a Sales Manager for most of his career. Henry worked in both Massachusetts and Maine. Henry was a great motivator at his job. He was great with people which made him a perfect fit in his business. Henry was a lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed playing golf with his many friends and traveling and kayaking with his wife and family. Henry will be remembered as a laid back, fun loving kind of guy that was easy and enjoyable to be around. In addition to his loving wife Maria, Henry is survived by his Mother, Margaret Surprenant of York Manor in Biddeford, ME; his three children, JR Surprenant and his wife Tracy of Wilmington, MA, Mark Surprenant also of Wilmington, MA, and Jill Panulapati and her husband Jag of Arlington, VA; five grandchildren, Tristyn, Taryn, Dean and Nolan Surprenant of Wilmington, and Reve Panulapati of Arlington, VA; his sister, Janet Deneault of West Palm Beach, FL; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Angelo Pacheco of Lowell, Sandy Demetropoulos of Merritt Island, FL, Louisa Theriault and her husband Paul of Lowell, MA, and Delia Day and her husband Fred of Lowell; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends, including his best friends Joe and Debbie Burns of Bonita Springs, FL. Henry was the brother of the late Joyce I. Surprenant who died on Aug. 19, 2007. FUNERAL NOTICE SURPRENANT—In Saco, Maine, Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at his home. Henry P. Henry’s Funeral will begin on TUESDAY MORNING at 9 o’clock from the Funeral Home, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10 o’clock at HOLY FAMILY PARISH – STE. MARIE’S CHURCH, corner of Chamberlain and Grafton Sts. Lowell. Burial will follow in the family lot in St.Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford, MA.
