Helen J. Conway Loving Mother, Grandmother, & Sister CHELMSFORD—Helen J. (McNulty) Conway, a Chelmsford resident, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2011 at the Sunny Acres Nursing Home. Helen was the beloved wife of the late John J. Conway who died in 1998. Born in Chelmsford, Helen was a daughter of the late George and Ellen (Rourke) McNulty. She attended Chelmsford schools and was a graduate of Chelmsford High School. Helen married John J. Conway and remained at home to take care of her family. Together they celebrated over 59 years of marriage and raised a loving son. Family meant everything to Helen. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and could often be heard singing and laughing. Helen and her husband John were members of Mt. Pleasant Golf Club, where they enjoyed many good times dancing together with their friends. Helen lived a simple, straightforward life where her family was her central focus. She maintained a keen interest in politics and kept up with current events. She liked watching Fox News, and her interests kept her mind going. Helen was a parishioner of the former Sacred Heart Church, now Holy Family Parish. Helen is survived by her loving family; her son Jack Conway and his wife Noreen of N. Billerica; her grandchildren, Kelly Ann McCluskey and her husband Daniel of Billerica, and Sean Patrick Conway and his fiancé Carrie Dumas of Chelmsford; two step-great grandchildren, Christopher and Matthew McCluskey, and Helen was looking forward to the birth of her first great granddaughter, Molly. Helen is also survived by her sister, Theresa M. Cox of Lowell, and many nieces, nephews, and several dear friends. Helen was the sister of the late Marietta Chandler, Florence Buckley, Gertrude Marcoux, and George, John, and Edward McNulty. FUNERAL NOTICE CONWAY—In Chelmsford, March 21, 2011 at Sunny Acres. Family and friends may call at the FAY McCABE FUNERAL HOME, 105 MOORE STREET, LOWELL, on THURSDAY from 4 until 8 P.M. Mrs. Conway’s Funeral will begin on FRIDAY MORNING at 10:30 A.M. from the Funeral Home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:30 A.M. at HOLY FAMILY PARISH – ST. MARIE’S CHURCH, corner of Chamberlain and Grafton Sts. Lowell. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery. Mrs. Conway’s family would like to acknowledge the nurses and staff at Sunny Acres for the care and comfort they provided Helen during her final days.
