Ms. Felicia J. McFarlane

Felicia J. McFarlane Loving Mother and Daughter Felicia Jean McFarlane, 29, born February 23, 1997 passed away peacefully on April 7th 2026 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston as a result of a brain bleed. She was surrounded by her daughter and loved ones. She was a lifelong resident of Lowell attended Lowell High School, and made her home at River Place Towers and more recently at Northwood Nursing Facility in Lowell. Felicia was in rehab recovering from a major stroke that occurred last April. She was determined to walk again so that she could go home to her daughter. She had several brain procedures done in the last year and had just started walking. Discharge plans were being made and her death was sudden. Felicia’s smile lit up a room. She was funny, sarcastic and always found humor in things. Felicia was determined and so strong and her strength facing all she had endured was admired by many. She loved with her whole heart. She loved her family and friends fiercely. Felicia loved sunflowers, soft, cuddly blankets, music, animals, and camping. She loved sitting at beaches and lakes, especially at the family’s seasonal campground where you could find her by the fire. Felicia’s love for her daughter was immense. Everyone that has met Felicia was touched by her one way or another. Felicia is survived by her 12 year old daughter, Yamarely Rosalinda Fuentes; her father Richard McFarlane of Peabody, her mother Teresa Barrera, formerly of Dracut, now of Maine and her partner, Jose Fuentes, Jr. who was also a lifelong friend’; her brothers, Kevin Thistle and Angelo Barrera; her sisters Emily Emerson, Lindsey McFarlane and her partner Taylor Makubika, Joslin Fuentes and partner Jayden Rivera, Louciana Fuentes and Jaida Barrera; paternal grandparents Linda Gaudet, Ernest and Brenda McFarlane; maternal grandparents Diane Thistle and Raymond Mancicni; nephews Lorenzo Lusardi, and Nathan Rosado; nieces Peyton Thistle, Xylia Rivera and Malani Makubika; aunt and godmother Jamie McFarlane and her fiancé Dave Galeazzi; aunts Kelly Thistle and her partner Marc Lawrence. Stacie Orlando and her husband Phil; cousins Alicia, Cameron, Trevor, Angelice, and Olivia Felicias; long time partner Michael Rivera and his sister Natasha Loaiza who was also Felicia’s caretaker; JJ Santana and Azalea Loaiza her daughter’s father, Joey Fuentes and his wife Glenny; many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and friends who are family.
