Catherine H. Freeman Loving Mother, Grandmother, and Sister TEWKSBURY—Catherine H. (Bradley) Freeman, age 80, a 49 year Tewksbury resident, passed away on Saturday morning, May 30, 2015 at home, following a long illness. She was surrounded by her loving family. Catherine was born in Boston’s Jamaica Plain on June 9, 1934, a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Kenny) Bradley from Co. Mayo, Ireland. She attended the neighborhood schools and was a graduate of Jamaica Plain High School. Catherine worked as a telephone switchboard operator, where she met her husband Gordon. Catherine was a devoted and loving mother who stayed home to raise her five children. Catherine later worked in the food service industry. Catherine was a regular parishioner of St. Williams Church in Tewksbury and a former CCD teacher. Catherine’s greatest joy was her family. She enjoyed reading, lively conversation, the beach, bingo and spending time with her family. She looked forward to family summer vacations in Maine, particularly Orr’s and Bailey Island. She had fond memories of her travels to Aruba, Prince Edward Island, Hawaii and Ireland. She felt blessed by her nine grandchildren whose presence ever brought a smile to her face. Catherine was great fun and her exuberance for life was infectious. She will be dearly missed by all the lives she touched. Catherine is survived by her five children, Mary Manzi and her husband Philip of Dracut, Patricia “Tishie” Skaff of Canterbury, NH, Gordon V. Freeman and his wife Eunice of Pepperell, Kathryn MacKay and her husband Brendon of Winchendon, and Kevin Freeman and his wife Ying Wu-Freeman of Malden; her brother, John Bradley of Dracut; nine grandchildren, Joel and Kyleigh Manzi, Robbie Skaff, Rose and Ryan Freeman, Wiley MacKay, and Christina, Nicholas, and Channie Freeman; many nieces, nephews, and her dear friends Ruth and Richard Martel of Tewksbury and Dr. Elias Nabbout. Catherine was the loving wife of the late Gordon Freeman who died in 1996 and sister of the late Marion Bradley, Tom Bradley and Sonny Bradley.
