Mrs. Ann J. Walton

ANN J. WALTON Ann J. (Harris) (Trouville) Walton, 89, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on July 19, 2022 at Lowell General Hospital, following a brief illness. She was the wife of late Eugene G. Walton. Ann was born in Dracut to Marion Harris, then moved to Lowell at age 5 when her Mom passed away on Feb. 15, 1937. She was employed by Western Electric in Andover, and also worked for the IRS for many years, among Andover, Boston, Atlanta, GA and Austin, TX. Ann loved the beach and enjoyed eating fried clams. In her earlier days she loved to play golf. She loved gardening and going to Grigg Farm in Billerica for her plants. Ann loved Flea Markets, Yard Sales, and Thrift Stores. Ann resided in Billerica for a short time. She had great friends at Billerica Housing, Debbie, Gloria, Daryl, and Steve, and her companion Theresa from the Billerica Council on Aging. She enjoyed going to the Billerica Public Library and she was an avid reader. She also loved crafting and got so much enjoyment out of giving her creations to family and friends around the holidays. Ann is survived by her children, Barbara Edie of Lowell, Ronald Trouville of Dracut, Joyce Trouville of Lowell and Janice Trouville of Lowell. She was the mother of the late David Trouville, who died in October of 1959. Ann also leaves her grandchildren, Jessica, Stephanie, Ronald Jr., and Erin; her great grandchildren, Halie, Joshua, Gabriella, and Cody; her great-great grandchildren, Freyja and Bentley; her dear sister-in-law, Dawn Slaton and her husband Jerry of Afton, TX, who called every day to say good morning and every evening to say good night. She also leaves her good friend Terry from Tennessee whom worked together for many years at the IRS and continued to be friends through the years. Ann was the grandmother of Robert Edie, Jr. who died in April of 2004. Ann was also very fond of her daughter Barbara’s lifetime significant other, David Hemenway, who died on February 9, 2021. She is sadly missed by other family members and friends. Let’s cherish those special moments in our hearts and be thankful for all of the time we had with her. Ann’s family would like to thank the staff at Fairhaven nursing home for all that they did for their mother. It being her wish, there will be no calling hours. Services and burial will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery (Sec. ZA) on SATURDAY MORNING, AUG. 20 at 10:30 AM to which relative and friends are invited for her Celebration of Life and her 90th Birthday.
